Do you market your business with a 🥕carrot or a 🏑stick?

(ok, that is a Hockey stick, but it was the closest emoji I could find, humour me! ☺️)

⁣WHAT CARROT MARKETING LOOKS LIKE:
★ Having appealing conversations with your niche taking the time to get to know them and understand them. Laughing, connecting and above all else listening to what they say.
★ Knowing how you really help and serve your customers, digging deep, and then making this obvious, easy and positive in your marketing - this is your whole reason for being, so make those moments endearing, funny, empathetic and mean it.
★ Willingly giving and sharing helpful, useful and relevant information to support and provide the best for your audience. You need them to want to be around you and like you!
★ Being in the right places at the right time. Not always easy but if you aren't, someone else will be. Serving your customers to the best of your ability will WOW them and they will become your biggest advocates and best sales people.

★ Being proud of your pricing, knowing and trusting your own value and worth. You make a difference and that doesn't come cheap! ★ Knowing that without customers you don't have a business, but not being desperate to please everyone. Focusing on what you do best.
WHAT STICK MARKETING LOOKS LIKE:
- Always busy trying to please everyone, but not actually pleasing anyone.

- Constantly telling people what you do, without stopping to listen and basically running around like a bull in a china shop.

- Always watching and worrying about competitors, making changes to your business because you feel you need to.

- Constantly discounting and making offers, in desperation for sales.

- Making it all about you, and not your customers. If you social is tumble weed, then use the 'so what scroll!?!' test, look back at your last few posts, would you stop and engage or scroll on by because your response is 'so what!'

Without doubt the best marketing relies on dangling carrots and leaving the (hockey) stick at home (unless you are actually going to go and play hockey!)

What 'carrots' will capture your audience's attention?

Once you figure that out, marketing gets a whole lot easier.

Tip:  It's usually the thing that connects your customers and you together.

The glue that brings you together, which is closely linked to why they need your product or service.
